I am heading to SXSW Interactive Week March 7-11. Anyone else heading out there? The panels look really interesting. The only one I am 100% sure I will go to is "Logos: Why They're Irrelevant and Can Actually Hurt Your Business" by Bryan Zmijewski. I went to high school with Bryan and have not caught up with him since then. He's going to have both Ingram's to deal with since both Karen and I are going.
This will be my third year (alum 2004 and 2005).
Yep, she is my sister. Since we work in the same industry we frequently run into people that have worked with the other one previously. I worked with Patrick O'Brien first, but did not remember, went up to him at SXSW, introduced myself as Karen's sister, and he had to remind me that I knew him first.
(the stuff he did with Karen was better - it involved pancakes and meat). http://transfatty.com/spike.html

I completely didn't make the connection with you and Krening. That's such a blast from the past--I remember checking out her work back in 00, when I was hacking out Flash work and crushing on Futurefarmers and Entropy8Zuper!.
Well, go!!
Speaking from experience, I will go ahead and make the assumption that the entire under-30 population of Nashville, TN will be in Austin while you are there. It's the annual ritual exodus/pilgrimage from Music City to SXSW. Historically this is more for the music and anonymous misbehaving, but I anticipate more than a few developers from the Nashville area will be going for the professional growth. I am envious!
